About Wall Pack Light Fixtures

A wall pack light fixture is a type of light that is mounted on the side of buildings. They are typically used to provide illumination for walkways, driveways, and parking garages. Wall pack fixtures come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and projection types.

They can provide brightness and improve visibility, making it easier to see around the perimeter of a building. Wall packs can also be used to accentuate features of a facade or add decorative lighting to an exterior.

In addition to their functional benefits, wall packs can also help to improve the curb appeal of a property. When choosing a wall pack, it is important to consider the size, wattage, and beam angle of the fixture.

At ECO LED Mart, all of our wall pack lights are LED, since that's our focus.  We are experts in LED fixtures and have a team ready to answer your question during business hours via a phone call or live chat.

Benefits of using LED for wall pack lighting

Wall pack lighting is a type of outdoor lighting that is often used to illuminate stairways, parking lots, and other areas where security or visibility is a concern. Traditionally, wall pack lights have used metal halide or high-pressure sodium bulbs, but LED (light-emitting diode) technology is quickly becoming the preferred choice for new installations.

LED wall packs offer a number of advantages over traditional bulbs, including lower maintenance costs, more efficient operation, and higher lumen output. In addition, LED wall packs are available in a variety of wattages and color temperatures to suit any application. As a result, LED lighting is an increasingly popular choice for both commercial and residential applications.

LED Lasts Longer

One of the biggest benefits of LED lighting is that it lasts much longer than traditional incandescent or fluorescent bulbs. LED wall packs can last for 50,000 hours or more, which means you won't have to replace them nearly as often. This can save you time and money in the long run, and it also means fewer maintenance issues to deal with.

LED Uses Less Energy

Another big benefit of LED lighting is that it is much more energy efficient than other types of lighting. LED wall packs use about 90% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs, and they generate very little heat. This means your facility can save money on its energy bill each month.

If you're looking for a cost-effective and efficient way to light your outdoor spaces, our LED wall packs are an excellent choice. Our fixtures are rated anywhere from 115 lumen per watt to 135 lm/watt on the high end.

LED Provides Better Lighting Quality

In addition to being more energy efficient and longer lasting, LED lights also provide better lighting quality than traditional bulbs. LED wall packs produce a crisp, white light that is easy on the eyes and provides excellent visibility. This is ideal outdoor applications where visibility is crucial. And because LED fixtures don't produce any ultraviolet (UV) radiation, they won't attract insects like some other types of lighting fixtures.

LED Fixtures save money through rebates

At ECO LED MART, all of our LED products are DLC listed , which means that you may be eligible for rebates and other incentives through your local utility company.

While we have no control over the rebate process, we can help you navigate it and ensure that you get all of the financial benefits possible. If you're interested in learning more about LED wall pack fixtures and how they can save money on your lighting costs, contact us today!

Types of LED Wall packs

There are several different types of wall packs available on the market, each with its own set of benefits.  LED wall lights are differentiated by the projection of the light.  The enclosure of the wall pack is used as a way to cut off light in the desired direction while the lamp glass angle determines where the beam of LED lights will land.

Forward throw LED wall pack Lights

A forward throw wall pack is a type of light fixture that is mounted on a wall. The lamp in a forward throw wall pack is facing forward, and the beam is cast directly ahead.

The forward-throw LED wall pack can easily be identified by the shape of the housing and the lamp shade. In this type of fixture, the lamp shade occupies the bottom side and the front side of the fixture, while the housing sits on top and the sides of the unit.

Full Cutoff Wall Pack LED

The full cutoff is a type of wall pack that is designed to cast light in a downward direction only. This ensures that no light is cast directly into the eyes of oncoming traffic or pedestrians, making it an ideal choice for whitewashing or security lighting.

The full cutoff wall pack can also be identified by the shape of the housing and the lampshade. In this type of fixture, the lamp shade only occupies the bottom side of the unit, while the housing covers the top, front, and sides.

Rotatable LED wall packs

A Rotatable LED wall pack is a type of light fixture that is mounted on a wall and can be rotated to direct light in different directions. This type of wall pack is used to accentuate features of a facade or add decorative lighting to an exterior.

Mini Wall Packs

Mini wall packs are a type of small light fixture that is often used for accent lighting or security lighting. Mini wall packs are used mainly for smaller areas as an add on rather than being the main source of light.

Other types of Wall pack lights

While the forward throw and full cutoff wall fixtures are the most common types, there are also much less common varieties of wall packs, namely the non-cutoff and the semi-cutoff. Non-cutoff wall packs emit light in all directions since the housing is completely out of the way.

Semi-cutoff wall packs, on the other hand, have a globe that is not entirely enclosed. These types of wall packs often emit light straight forward rather than the downward + forward projection of a forward throw.

At ECO LED Mart, we focus on the most common fixtures and have a variety of selections within those types.
